Do You Mind?
Theology + Therapy
You can pray every day and still struggle with anxiety. You can love God and still battle depression. You can grow up in church and still carry trauma.
For too long, mental health has been stigmatized in Christian spaces. Struggles were dismissed. Questions were silenced. Pain was labeled spiritual weakness.
Not anymore.
In Do You Mind?, Dr. Timothy L. Rivers challenges harmful church narratives and confronts the idea that you should “just pray about it.” With biblical clarity and practical insight, he shows how renewing your mind is essential to living out your faith.
If you’ve ever felt:
Exhausted by toxic relationships
Confused by religious trauma
Ashamed of your anxiety
Trapped in patterns you can’t explain
This book is for you.
God doesn’t just want your worship. He wants your wholeness.
Timothy L. Rivers

Raised in Germany and fluent in the language, Tim carries a global perspective that has been further shaped through missionary work in Sri Lanka alongside his wife, Janese. Whether he’s skydiving, surfing, fly fishing, or team roping at a local rodeo, Tim embraces life with a bold “Why not?” attitude that reflects both his adventurous spirit and faith-filled approach to life. At home, Tim and Janese are raising three children at their homestead, affectionately called Double R Ranch.
